Episode 32

August 24th, 2008

Mixed fortunes at the weekend. Celtic actually drew 2-2 after being 2-0 down until late in the second half. Quite a shock that one. Also, my long-term outstanding bet that Arsenal would do the FA Cup/Premiership double is no longer outstanding following Man United’s victory at Villa Park. Not too bothered about that because, as I said before, I have supported Man U since the age of about 9. You would think that they should make easy work of Millwall in the final, but cup finals are one-offs and notoriously unpredictable. I will consider that one.

My other weekend bet came up though as Norwich beat Burnley away in what seems to have been a classic match ending in a 3-5 victory for The Canaries winning me ÂŁ1.20.

This evening’s “6 pointer” relegation survival battle between Leeds and Leicester should prove exciting and should yield a few goals I reckon. I have therefore bet 50p that there will be 2 or 3 goals at odds of 10/11.
